XP1000 / Turbo / Pro XP / RS 1 Adjustable Sway Bar Bushing and Bracket
  • XP1000 / Turbo / Pro XP / RS 1 Adjustable Sway Bar Bushing and Bracket

This is the cure for all that slop and clunking behind the seats on your RZR.

We have addressed the issue with this adjustable bracket and bushing.

This kit is adjustable to fit the individual amount of wear you have on your sway bar diameter.

You will need to determine if you have a 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 diameter sway bar and select that option when ordering.

This is for the rear sway bar only.

Price is for 2 brackets, 2 bushings and 2 2pc shaft collars.

    • Install Directions

***BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT, YOU MUST USE A MEASURING TAPE TO VERIFY THE LENGTH FROM SHOULDER TO SHOULDER ON YOUR SWAY BAR BECAUSE THE SHOULDERS DO MOVE OVER TIME!!!!***

***Use a tape measure and measure from one shoulder side to the other, where the shoulder makes contact with the sway bar bushings. This should measure approximately 24 1/16 inches.  If your measurement does not come out to approximately 24 1/16 inches, then YOU MUST FIX THIS BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT! (SEE THE NEXT STEP ON HOW TO FIX YOUR MEASUREMENT SO IT MEASURES TO approximately 24 1/16 inches).***

***HOW TO FIX YOUR MEASUREMENT TO approximately 24 1/16 INCHES:  Figure Out/Choose a shoulder side on the sway bar that has moved.  Use a hammer to tap it out until it moves to the correct measurement (tap a little, measure, tap a little, measure… until you have the correct measurement of 24 1/16 inches).  Once you have the correct measurement, you can put a small tack weld at the shoulder in order to secure the shoulder into place OR use a 2 piece shaft collar on the inside of the shoulder to secure the shoulder in place. ***

***IF YOUR MEASUREMENT IS CORRECT, then we still recommend putting a small tack weld at the shoulder to secure the shoulder into place OR using a 2 piece shaft collar on the inside of the shoulder in order to secure the shoulder into place and to keep it from moving in the future.***

Each bushing/bracket set is side specific.  Look at the bottom flat side of the bracket and look for a “D” for driver’s side and/or a “P” for Passenger’s side. (SPECIAL NOTE FOR PRO XP AND PRO R) The D and P brackets will go on opposite sides because the sway bar mounts different on these models.

Make sure the shoulder of the bushing meets the shoulder on the sway bar and the slot in the bracket is on the bottom side.

      Remove your sway bar links.

First, slide the plastic bushing on the bar, and then add the aluminum bracket. (You can loosen the 2 outer screws on the bracket and then tighten the center set screw to give you more clearance to slide the bracket up on the bushing).

Next, adjust the friction when the bar rotates by loosening the center set screw and then tightening the outer screws to clamp down on the bar. (Do Not over tighten! You just want a nice amount of friction when you rotate the sway bar).

Once adjusted, use your allen wrench to screw in the center set screw until it makes contact, and then go back to the outer 2 screws and tighten them next.

Reinstall your sway bar links. Grease the bushings. We recommend Bell Ray waterproof grease.

      Grease after each ride.
